Coach Wanted
Position: Masters Swimming Coach
Description of duties:
- Meet new swimmers and welcome them to the program.
- Train swimmers, both for fitness and competition, with an ample
number of workouts to serve the needs of the group.
- Teach swimmers the technical aspects of swimming: all 4 major
strokes, starts, turns, pacing, etc.
- Accomodate and encourage competitive or team events, such as swim
meets, postal swims, time trials, fun contests and the like.
- Design the workouts to build the team community.
- Work with the team representative to provide regular communication
to team members.
- Market the team through any promotional ideas/projects deemed
beneficial.
Minimum Qualifications:
Upper level swimming or coaching experience and knowledge of stroke
technique
Member of US Masters Swimming
Working Hours:
Approx. 3 hours per week, one each on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays.
Mid-Aug thru June: 5:30-6:30AM at Univ of Idaho Swim Center
(Moscow)
July thru mid-Aug: 5:45-7:00AM at Hamilton-Lowe Aquatic Center
(Moscow)
Starting Salary: $12.50/hour
